Sri Jagannath Sanskrutika Kala Parisad (SJSKP) was established in the Year 1992 by a group of visionaries with the sole objective of promoting technical education and cultural heritage in Odisa.

Biju Patnaik Institute of Technology, Vidya Vihar, Phulbani was established by this society in the year 2006
